Mom’s on the Mat – Moms of members train FREE for the month of May!*

In celebration of Mother’s Day and moms everywhere, we are offering moms of our members a chance to train for FREE for the entire month of May!*

This is a wonderful opportunity to train with your student and learn about the benefits of Seido Karate! We’ll work on conditioning, focus, setting goals and of course: karate!

Jumping/Kicking Seminar with Kyoshi David – Tues. Feb. 25

Kyoshi David will be offering a special seminar on jumping kicks Tuesday, February 25th in lieu of normally scheduled kumite classes.

The seminar is open to youth and adult students at green belt and above and will cover the fundamentals of all the basic jumping kicks, including roundhouse, front kick, side kick, and tornado kick. Come jump start your kicking skills with us!

The classes are limited in size and popular, so register today!

Monday 1/6 – All Classes are Zoom only today, due to weather

We hope that everyone had a fabulous holiday season and enjoyed their time off from karate spending quality time with family and friends.

We are excited to start back to training today!  However, the weather is only allowing us to do that via the Zoom classes.  If you were reserved in the dojo for classes, please reschedule yourself for the Zoom option in ZenPlanner (PeeWee students were already transferred and do not need to do this step).

We look forward to seeing you and we’ll be back in the dojo as soon as the weather allows.

Kagami Biraki – 鏡開き – First Training of the New Year: Saturday, January 3rd, 2026

Date: January 3rd, 10am to 11:30am – Kagami Biraki!
Location: The Dojo

In keeping with Japanese martial arts tradition, we will hold our first class of the year, Kagami Biraki 鏡開き,(read more here) on January 3rd.

This class will be open to all students of all levels and ages and to our parents and caregivers as well! So we hope everyone will show up and help us work up our first sweat of the New Year!

We’ll be on the in dojo… please wear your full gi. And please bring a bottle of water.

Board Breaking Seminars – Tuesday December 17th – during normal class times

Join us in the dojo on Tuesday, December 17th* and learn how to break your first board!

You must register for this event and it is only open to current students and is $10**.

* The Seminars will replace the classes that usually occur at these times.

** You will get 2 boards with your registration. If you wish to break more boards, you need to purchase them from the KKA store via your ZenPlanner account.

School’s Out – October Fun Day

School’s Out on Thursday Oct 3rd and you need a fun day for your child! We’ve got just the thing to keep the kiddos happy!

Our School’s Out program will run from 9am – 4pm. We will provide karate training, crafts, a movie and other fun activities.

The cost is $90 per child. If you have a student who will attend the 5pm class, you may request an extension for $10 extra.

Promotions: Monday 8/5 – 5:30 – 8:30pm – No classes this day. Junior Yellow+ Belt Promotion: Saturday 8/10

We excited to announce that our next promotions will be taking place soon! They will take place over two days, as follows:

General Promotion:

  • Date: Monday, August 5th
  • Time:
    Peewees: 5:30 – 6:30pm
    Juniors: 6:30 – 7:30pm
    Youth/Adults: 7:30 – 8:30pm
  • Location: In the dojo

Junior Yellow and Higher Promotion:

  • Date: Saturday, August 10
  • Time: 12:30pm
  • Location: In the dojo
  • If you are eligible for promotion, you will receive an email letting you know.
  • Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. There will be numerous photo opportunities.

All classes normally scheduled for this day are postponed until the following week. Our normal schedule resumes on Tuesday, August 6.
